The State Board of Elections is offering free seminars about the photo ID requirement for voting to help ensure that voters have the information they need before casting their ballot in the 2024 general election.
All North Carolina registered Republicans and some unaffiliated voters are eligible to vote in second primary elections to be held Tuesday, May 14, in all 100 counties.
The State Board of Elections on April 1 will open another application period for eligible educational institutions and government agencies to apply to have their student and employee photo IDs approved for voting purposes in the 2024 general election.
Under state law, election officials must release the number of provisional ballots cast in each county in North Carolina by the day after the election.
State Board of Elections staff on Wednesday, March 6, will randomly select precincts, early voting sites, and absentee-by-mail ballots to be counted by hand.
