Effective January 1, 2023, the contribution limit for North Carolina candidates and political committees increased by $800 per election, from $5,600 to $6,400.
The State Board of Elections on Wednesday, December 7, will randomly select precincts, early voting sites, and absentee-by-mail ballots to be counted by hand.
With post-election processes -- including required audits -- nearly complete, the NC State Board of Elections will meet on Tuesday, November 29, to certify final results of the 2022 general election.
