5:11 p.m: The State Board of Elections will hold a remote meeting beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
6:21 p.m: Candidate filing for North Carolina’s 2022 primary elections, as well as rescheduled municipal elections, will resume at 8 a.m. Thursday, February 24, and end at noon on Friday, March 4, under an order issued Tuesday by the Superior Court of Wake County.
5:07 p.m: This meeting has been canceled pursuant to an order of the Wake County Superior Court, which granted the State Board’s motion to stay candidate challenges against candidates for the U.S. House and the North Carolina House and Senate until final resolution of the litigation in North Carolina League of Conservation Voters v. Hall. 
6:12 p.m: The North Carolina Supreme Court on Wednesday suspended candidate filing for all offices for the 2022 primary election.
The N.C. Court of Appeals on Monday issued an order temporarily suspending candidate filing: U.S. House of Representatives, N.C. Senate, N.C. House contests.
7:34 p.m: Candidate filing for the U.S. House, N.C. House, and N.C. Senate will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, following a Monday evening reversal of an earlier order suspending filing for those offices.

10:39 a.m: Candidate filing for the 2022 statewide primary and rescheduled municipal elections begins at noon on Monday, December 6, and ends at noon on Friday, December 17.
3:01 p.m: The State Board of Elections on Tuesday finalized election results for the November 2021 municipal elections and took steps toward expanding and improving the state’s post-election audits and better explaining them to voters.
