Several North Carolina county boards of elections will not complete their election canvass meetings on Friday and will resume their work to certify 2024 general election results on Monday.
In the days following each election in North Carolina, the 100 county boards of elections count provisional ballots and certain absentee ballots cast in the election, conduct post-election audits, and complete any necessary recounts.
North Carolina residents: If you’re a U.S. citizen, will be at least 18 years old by Election Day, and not serving a felony sentence, you’re eligible to vote.
