Hyland spent more than two decades covering national and local news in New York, Dallas, and Raleigh, most recently at the CBS-affiliate WRAL in Raleigh.

The State Board of Elections today released the results of a study regarding wait times across North Carolina during the 2014 General Election.  Counties reported to the State Board that lines never topped one hour at 90% of early voting sites or at 98% of precinct polling locations on Election Day.
