With post-election processes -- including required audits -- nearly complete, the NC State Board of Elections will meet on Tuesday, November 29, to certify final results of the 2022 general election.
The NC State Board of Elections and county boards of elections are responding to requests from Election Day voters about why their “voter history” records are not yet updated to reflect the fact that they voted on Election Day – November 8, 2022. We believe this is the direct result of certain groups spreading false and misleading information about this process in an attempt to sow distrust in our elections.
The North Carolina State Board of Elections voted unanimously Tuesday to extend voting at a total of three precincts in three counties until 8:30 p.m. after delays in the opening of polls Tuesday morning.
The State Board of Elections on Wednesday, November 9, will randomly select precincts, early voting sites, and absentee-by-mail ballots to be counted by hand as part of a statutorily required post-election audit.
