The State Board of Elections on Tuesday unanimously certified the results of the 2024 general election in North Carolina, ensuring the ballots of more than 5.7 million voters were counted.
Several North Carolina county boards of elections will not complete their election canvass meetings on Friday and will resume their work to certify 2024 general election results on Monday.
In the days following each election in North Carolina, the 100 county boards of elections count provisional ballots and certain absentee ballots cast in the election, conduct post-election audits, and complete any necessary recounts.
