Election Officials to Host Virtual Press Availability as Absentee Voting Continues

Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the State Board of Elections, will hold a virtual press availability at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, to discuss absentee voting in the 2024 general election.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, county boards of elections will begin sending absentee ballots to all voters who requested them for the Nov. 5 election. Ballots for military and overseas voters went out Friday, Sept. 20.

Brinson Bell will give brief remarks, then answer questions from members of the press.

This event is for members of the press only. It will be conducted via WebEx webinar, and registration is required. Please register in advance of the press availability because we may not be able to let you in once the meeting has begun.
