Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the State Board of Elections, will hold a virtual press availability at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, to discuss Election Day voting in the 2024 Republican second primary.
Election Day for the second primary is Tuesday, May 14. Polls will be open across North Carolina from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Brinson Bell will give brief remarks about the second primary, as well as the voter photo ID requirement. She will then answer questions.
This event is for members of the media only. It will be conducted via WebEx webinar, and registration is required. Please register in advance of the press availability because we may not be able to let you in once the meeting has begun.
Information on how to ask questions will be provided at the start of the webinar. A recording of the event will be available as soon as possible afterwards.
Following the virtual press availability, at about 11:30 a.m., Brinson Bell will be available for in-person interviews at the State Board of Elections office, Third Floor, Dobbs Building, 430 N.
