The State Board of Elections will hold a non-partisan voter ID educational seminar, 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11. The seminar open to the public will take place at the Harnett County Courthouse, 301 West Cornelius Blvd., in Lillington. The event is sponsored by the Harnett County Democratic Party.
“We want to educate and inform every voter in North Carolina on the new photo ID requirements and exceptions,” said Lead Voter Outreach Specialist Ted Fitzgerald. “We have made great strides reaching out to voters across the state, making sure they know what they need when they head to the polls this election season.”
The seminar will answer the following questions:
- What types of photo ID will be accepted at the polls?
- What can voters do if they don’t have one of the listed acceptable IDs?
- Where can voters get an ID card?
- Is there a charge for a NC ID card?
- What information do voters need to provide to get a NC ID card?
